The Primrose Child Care Center was established in 1988 with eight children and one teacher.
We start off each day with a prayer circle and we have a weekly chapel service.
A summer day camp is provided.
We provide before and after care for four local elementary schools. Homework time is provided each afternoon because we want each child to succeed in school.
You can help someone improve their reading skills simply by listening to them read and then correcting the reader when he or she mispronounces a word. If that is what you want to do then call Angel Pike at 501-888-8175
Tutoring Help Available
For those children that are enrolled in our after school care program, Homework help and tutoring are available every day. If your child is struggling in a subject and needs extra help, please speak with Ms Angel Pike or Ms Gale Taylor in the afternoons. If you would narrow down areas that your child needs help with, we will provide those types of work activities to help them. But we cannot help them with things that we do not know about. Please communicate with us; we are here to help your child succeed in school.
HELP WANTED
- The daycare is still collecting the Box Tops for Education. Please clip them from the boxes and turn them in. Every top is worth 10 cents. They add up fast!
- The daycare also collects used ink cartridges and unwanted cell phones. We recycle these as another fundraising opportunity. Bring them to us and we will take care of the rest. Thanks!
- Would you like to rock the babies in the nursery? Call Ms Angel Pike at 501-888-8175
Daycare Ditties
The daycare received one of the highest compliments from one of its former families. We received a card from the mother of Josh Bise, who no longer attends the daycare because he is now all grown and attending Fuller Middle School. Josh started at Primrose when he was just a baby in the nursery. Mom’s note stated she missed coming by here and visiting with us because it had been a part of their everyday routine for 11 years. She doesn’t miss the tuition she had to pay every week, she misses the people. Yes, our daycare provides a needed service, but it is the relationships with families that are the real key to what we do. We miss the Bise family too. But Josh has already been promised a job when he is old enough. And we look forward to that day!
Mrs. Carol Lagman's four year old class celebrated "Talk like a Pirate Day." They went on a real treasure hunt and "X" really did mark the spot. A great time was had by all, even those that had to walk the plank.
You are welcome to join us any Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the sanctuary for our Holy devotional time. I can promise you that you will receive a blessing, too.
